WARNING:
WARNING:Do not let brake fluid get onto the skin or into the eyes. If brake fluid comes into contact with the skin or eyes, rinse the affected places immediately with water. Failure to observe these instructions can lead to personal injury.
CAUTION:
CAUTION:If any brake fluid gets on the paintwork wash it off immediately with water.
NOTE:
NOTE:Ensure absolute cleanliness when topping up brake fluid.
NOTE:
NOTE:Do not reuse brake fluid.
NOTE:
NOTE:If proprietary brake bleeding equipment is available, this can be used to bleed the clutch system.
NOTE:
NOTE:The clutch system is self-venting. The components are arranged in such a way that small amounts of air trapped in the system are removed automatically.

  1. Remove the brake fluid from the brake fluid reservoir under suction, until the level is at the MIN mark.

  1. Detach the protective cap from the clutch slave cylinder bleed nipple.

  1. Bleed the clutch system using the special tool.
    1. Fill the special tool reservoir with about 100 ml of new brake fluid.
    1. Connect the special tool to the clutch slave cylinder bleed nipple.
    1. Undo the clutch slave cylinder bleed nipple.
    1. Pump about 80 ml of brake fluid into the clutch system using the special tool.

  1. Tighten the clutch slave cylinder bleed nipple.
  1. Detach the special tool.

  1. Install the protective cap on the clutch slave cylinder bleed nipple.

  1. NOTE:
    NOTE:Ensure absolute cleanliness when topping up brake fluid.
    Check the brake fluid level.
    • The fluid level must be between the MIN and MAX marks. If the level drops below the MIN mark the brake warning light comes on.
