Release the parking brake. | | -
Remove the parking brake cable adjustment nut. - Remove the retaining clip.
- Remove the adjustment nut.

CAUTION:Over bending of the exhaust flexible pipe may cause damage resulting in failure. Support the exhaust flexible pipe with a support wrap or a suitable splint. | | -
NOTE:Support the front and rear muffler assembly with a suitable axle stand. Detach the front and rear muffler assembly from the front hanger insulators. | | -
Detach the front and rear muffler assembly from the front, center hanger insulator. | | -
Detach the front and rear muffler assembly from the rear, center hanger insulator. | | -
Detach the front and rear muffler assembly from the rear hanger insulator. | | -
Remove the front and rear muffler assembly. - Discard the gasket and nuts.

Remove the front section of the exhaust heat shield. | | -
Remove the rear section of the exhaust heat shield. | | -
Detach the parking brake cables from the equalizer. - Turn the cable through 90 degrees.

Detach the parking brake cables from the retaining clips. | | -
Disconnect the cable guides from the floor pan. | | -
Detach the parking brake cables from the support bracket. | | -
Detach the parking brake cables from the wheel knuckles. | | -
Detach the parking brake cable from the brake caliper. - Pull back the parking brake lever.
- Disconnect the cable from the parking brake lever.
- Remove the conduit retaining clip.
- Detach the cable and conduit from the brake caliper.

NOTE:Coat the exhaust flexible pipe studs with anti-seize grease. NOTE:Install a new gasket and nuts. To install, reverse the removal procedure. | | |
