FOCUS RS 2003: Removal & Installation of Cellular Phone Antenna

Cellular Phone - Cellular Phone Antenna Focus RS 2003 (09/2002-)
Removal and Installation

Removal
  1. Detach the cellular phone handset holder.
  1. Remove the cup holder rubber mat.

  1. Remove the center console retaining screws.
  1. Remove the ashtray (if equipped).

  1. Remove the rear center console retaining screw.

  1. Disconnect the antenna connector.
    • Raise the center console and disconnect the antenna connector.

  1. Detach the glovebox by pressing the side panels.

  1. Detach the antenna cable from the cross car beam.
    • Cut the tie straps.
  1. Remove the A - pillar trim panel. For additional information, refer to Section  501-05 Interior Trim and Ornamentation.

  1. NOTE:
    NOTE:The antenna is bonded onto the windshield. If the windshield is removed a new antenna must be installed.
    Remove and discard the antenna.

Installation
  1. CAUTION:
    CAUTION:Use an alcohol swab to clean windshield before installing the antenna.
    NOTE:
    NOTE:Install a new antenna.
    NOTE:
    NOTE:The antenna must be installed in the position shown.
    To install, reverse the removal procedure.
