Steering Wheel: Service and Repair

Removal 

1. Remove the driver air bag module.

2. Center the steering wheel.

Remove the ignition key and lock the steering in position

3. Remove the steering wheel. 

1. Disconnect the speed control electrical connector (if equipped). 
2. Remove the bolt.

Installation 

WARNING:  When installing the steering wheel make sure the air bag sliding contact is centralized. Failure to follow this instruction may
result in personal injury. 

CAUTION:  After installation, check the correct location of the steering wheel on the steering column shaft by turning the steering wheel in a
counterclockwise direction.

1. To Install, reverse the removal procedure.
