Suspension Strut / Shock Absorber: Service and Repair
Rear
Removal
1. Remove the luggage compartment interior tam panel.
2. CAUTION: Use an Allen key to prevent the piston rod rotating.
Remove the shock absorber top mounting nut.
All Vehicles
3. Raise and support the vehicle.
3-door
4. Remove the shock absorber.
Wagon
5. Remove the upper bolt.
6. Remove the shock absorber.
Installation
1. NOTE: The final tightening of the suspension components must be carried out with the vehicle weight on the road wheels.
