Valve Spring: Service and Repair
Valve Springs
Removal
1. Remove the valve tappets.
2. WARNING: Always wear protective goggles when working with compressed air. This can prevent injury. Failure to follow these
instructions may result in personal injury.
Using special tools, remove the valve springs.

Apply compressed air to the cylinders.

Compress the valve springs and remove the valve collets.

Remove the valve spring retainers and the valve springs and place them in order to one side. To remove the collets use some grease and a
small screw driver.
