Clockspring Assembly / Spiral Cable: Vehicle Damage Warnings
CAUTION:

Make sure the road wheels are in the straight ahead position.

Note the position of the spacing collar within the center of the air bag sliding contact.
^
Make sure the spacing collar is correctly located. Do not assemble if the spacing collar is missing.
^
If there is any break between centralizing the sliding contact and installing the steering wheel, or the vehicle is left unattended by the technician,
the centralizing procedure MUST be repeated.
^
If the vehicle is left unattended by the technician between centralizing the clockspring and installing the steering wheel, the centralizing procedure
must be repeated.
