Seat Belt Retractor: Service and Repair
Rear Center Safety Belt Retractor
3-Door/Wagon
REMOVAL
1. Detach the center safety belt lower anchor.
2. Install the safety belt webbing retainer before removing the safety cover and pad.
NOTE: The safety belt webbing retainer is supplied with new safety belts. Do not use any other retaining method.
3. Disassemble the rear seat backrest.
4. Lock off the backrest latch.
NOTE: Locking off the backrest latch allows the safety belt to be moved when the backrest is in its normal upright position.
