Front Subframe: Description and Operation
FRONT SUBFRAME
The front subframe is bolted to the body and is used to:

aid in structural support.

provide mounting surfaces for the front suspension.

provide mounting points for the front stabilizer bar.

provide mounting for the engine.

provide mounting for the steering gear.
-
protect the transmission and oil pan from damage.
