Remove the components in the order indicated in the following illustration(s) and table(s). 2 - Engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor electrical connector 4 - Radiator to thermostat housing coolant hose 6 - Heater core to thermostat housing coolant hose 10 - Thermostat housing seal 11 - ECT sensor retaining clip 4. To install, reverse the removal procedure. Removal Details Item 1 : Coolant expansion tank to thermostat housing coolant hose | | -
Detach the coolant expansion tank to thermostat coolant hose. - Release the locking tangs.
- Detach the coolant hose and seal.
| Item 3 : Radiator to thermostat housing coolant hose retaining clip | | -
Using the special tool, disconnect the radiator lower coolant hose from the thermostat housing. | Item 5 : Heater core to thermostat housing coolant hose retaining clip | | -
Using the special tool, disconnect the heater coolant hose from the thermostat housing. | Item 7 : Coolant bypass tube retaining bolt | | -
Loosen the coolant bypass tube retaining bolt. | Item 8 : Thermostat housing | | -
Detach the thermostat housing. | Item 9 : Coolant pump to thermostat housing coolant tube | | -
Disconnect the coolant pump to thermostat housing coolant tube quick release coupling. | Installation Details Item 8 : Thermostat housing | | -
NOTE:Tighten the thermostat housing bolts in 2 stages. Install the thermostat housing. - Stage 1: 4 Nm.
- Stage 2: 7 Nm.
