ELECTRONIC MANUAL TEMPERATURE CONTROL
(EMTC) RESETS TO THE ON POSITION - BUILT ON
OR BEFORE 3/18/2009

ISSUE
Some 2010 Fusion and Milan vehicles equipped with EMTC and built on or before 3/18/2009 may exhibit an intermittent concern of EMTC or A/C
turning on by itself on initial key cycle in Run or Start position. This only occurs when a driver turns off the A/C button or EMTC manually prior to
cycling the key in the off position. This condition is not related to the EMTC hardware or ignition switch functionality. This is caused by the software
strategy within the EMTC control head.
ACTION
Reprogram the climate control module to the latest calibration using Integrated Diagnostic System (IDS) release 63.02 and higher. This new calibration
is not included in the VCM 2009.9 DVD. Calibration files may also be obtained at the website.
