Removal

1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist.

2. Drain the cooling system. For additional information, refer to Cooling System Draining, Filling and Bleeding  See: Cooling System/Service and

Repair/Cooling System Draining, Filling and Bleeding.

3. Remove the coolant pump belt.

4. NOTICE: Failure to use the correct Water Pump Pulley Plate, Water Pump Shaft Protector and Crankshaft Vibration Damper Remover,

assembled as shown in the illustration, will result in damage to the coolant pump pulley and/or the Water Pump Pulley Plate, Water
Pump Shaft Protector and Crankshaft Vibration Damper Remover. 

Using the Water Pump Pulley Plate, Water Pump Shaft Protector and the Crankshaft Vibration Damper Remover, remove the coolant pump
pulley.
