-
Measure the resistance between the 4X4 control module C3253-12, circuit VDB05 (WH), harness side and the DLC C251-14, circuit VDB05
(WH), harness side.
-
Are the resistances less than 5 ohms?
Yes
CONNECT the negative battery cable. GO to E4.
No
REPAIR the circuit in question. CONNECT the negative battery cable. CLEAR the DTCs. REPEAT the network test with the scan tool.

E4 CHECK FOR CORRECT 4X4 CONTROL MODULE OPERATION
-
Disconnect all the 4X4 control module connectors.
-
Check for:
-
corrosion
-
damaged pins
-
pushed-out pins
-
Connect all the 4X4 control module connectors and make sure they seat correctly.
-
Operate the system and verify the concern is still present.
-
Is the concern still present?
Yes
INSTALL a new 4X4 control module. CLEAR the DTCs. REPEAT the network test with the scan tool.

Normal Operation
The Occupant Classification System Module (OCSM) communicates with the scan tool through the High Speed Controller Area Network (HS-CAN).
Circuits VDB04 (WH/BU) (HS-CAN +) and VDB05 (WH) (HS-CAN -) provide the network connection to the OCSM. Voltage to the OCSM is
supplied by circuit CBP24 (VT/GN). Ground is supplied by circuit GD127 (BK/BU).
