Evaporative Emission Canister Purge Valve
Removal and Installation

WARNING: Always disconnect the battery ground cable at the battery when working on an evaporative emission (EVAP) system or
fuel-related component. Highly flammable mixtures are always present and may be ignited. Failure to follow these instructions may result in
serious personal injury.
3.0L and 3.5L vehicles
1. NOTE: The lower cowl panel grille must be removed to access the Evaporative Emission (EVAP) canister purge valve.
Remove the lower cowl panel grille.
All vehicles
2. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
3. Disconnect the EVAP canister purge valve electrical connector.
4. Disconnect the 2 vapor jumper tube-to-EVAP canister purge valve quick connect couplings.
5. Depress the tab and remove the EVAP canister purge valve from the bracket.
