Removal and Installation

16‐020Installer, auxiliary shaft oil seal

15‐030 AUniversal flange holding wrench
Remove
1. Remove the timing belt as described in Operation Number 21 304 0.
   Raise the vehicle.

NOTE:

Counterhold using Special Tool 15‐030A.
2. Detach the auxiliary shaft pulley.

3. Remove the auxiliary shaft oil seal carrier.

4. Remove the auxiliary shaft oil seal from the carrier.
Install
5. Install the auxiliary shaft oil seal in the carrier.

6. Install the auxiliary shaft oil seal carrier using a new O‐ring.

NOTE:

Insert the pulley Woodruff key. The longer shoulder of the auxiliary shaft pulley must be towards the engine. Counterhold using Special Tool 15‐030A.
7. Attach the auxiliary shaft pulley.
8. Install the timing belt as described in Operation Number 21 3040.
   Lower the vehicle.
