NOTE:

”Safety Precautions" and ”General Requirements and Safety Measures for Maintenance and Repair Work" at the beginning of this section.
1. Extract the A/C refrigerant according to Operation Number 34 620 0.
2. Detach the bulkhead extension (only for vehicles with 2.8i CD‐V6 engine)

NOTE:

Immediately close off the refrigerant lines and connections with plugs.
3. Detach the refrigerant lines from the A/C expansion valve (one bolt) and take out the O‐rings.

NOTE:

Immediately close off the refrigerant lines and connections with plugs.
4. Remove the A/C expansion valve.
Install

NOTE:

Torques: refer to ”General Specifications".

NOTE:

Renew the O‐rings and lubricate with refrigerant oil.
5. Install the components in reverse order.
6. Evacuate and fill the air conditioning system as described in Operation Number 34 620 0.
7. Check the operation of the air conditioning system.
