Removal and Installation
Remove
All vehicles
1. Move the seat fully forward and raise to maximum height.
2. Disconnect the battery ground cable.

3. Remove the cover plate.
• Detach the clips.

4. Disconnect the heater mat (if equipped).
Vehicles with side air bags

WARNING:

Wait at least one minute after disconnecting the battery ground cable before disconnecting any supplemental restraint system electrical connector. Failure to follow this warning could cause premature deployment and may result in personal injury.
5. Disconnect the side air bag module electrical connector.
1. Release the safety cover.
2. Release the locking tang.
3. Lift the electrical connector.

6. Detach the side air bag module harness from the bracket.
• Rotate the electrical connector 90°.
All vehicles
7. Remove the rear bolts.
8. Fully lower the seat and move fully rearwards.

9. Remove the inboard bolt cover.

10. Remove the outboard bolt cover.
• Remove the screw.

11. Remove the front bolts.
12. Remove the front seat.
Install
13. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
