Removal and Installation
Remove
1. Close the door window and disconnect the battery negative lead.
2. Remove the door trim panel (refer to Operation Number 43 705 0).

CAUTION:

Do not touch the adhesive surface as re‐bonding will be impaired.
3. Locally detach the protective sheet.
   Using a plastic knife, (disposable cutlery) cut through the Butyl strip to enable the protective sheet to be peeled back for access. DO NOT attempt to peel the sheeting from the door without cutting the butyl.

4. Remove the remote control handle retaining screw.

5. Unclip the remote handle actuating cable from the door.

6. Displace the handle assembly.
   Lift up and out of the locators in the door panel.

7. Remove the lever return spring.

8. Disconnect the actuating cable.
   Push out the plastic retainer.

9. Disconnect the actuating cable (continued).
   Place the lever into the locked position to align the inner cable with the release slot and lift out.
Install
10. Refit the components in reverse order.
