NOTE:Make sure gearshift mechanism is in the neutral position. Lock the gearshift cable and the selector cable mechanism. - Pull the locking mechanisms backwards and turn it counterclockwise.

Lock the gearshift mechanism. - Depress the selector shaft.
- Press the locking pin into the transaxle.

Remove the gearshift lever knob and boot. | | -
Unlock the gearshift cable and the selector cable mechanism. - Turn the locking mechanisms clockwise to unlock.

Unlock the gearshift mechanism. | | -
Install the gearshift lever boot and knob. | | -
NOTE:When verifying the gearshift cable adjustment, check the reverse gear position. Check the gearshift mechanism adjustment. - The gearshift lever must rest in the shift passage between third and fourth gear, when in the neutral position.

NOTE:Carry out the following steps if first, second, fifth or sixth gear cannot be selected.. NOTE:With the aid of another technican, observe the gearshift mechanism. Move the gearshift lever to the first and second gearshift passage. - The selector shaft must move downwards while moving the gearshift lever across to the first and second gearshift passage.
- If the gearshift mechanism is correctly adjusted, the locking pin can be pressed into the transaxle.
