Non-Depressed Park Type & 1982---87 Lincoln Continental & 1983---87 Cougar & Thunderbird
1.
Disconnect wiper linkage from output arm and electrical connector from motor.

Connect negative lead from ammeter to battery positive post, and alternately connect positive lead from meter to high and low speed terminals on
motor, Fig. 3.
3.
Motor should run in both test positions, and should indicate 3.0 amp draw or less on non-depressed park motor, and 3.5 amp draw or less on
depressed park motor.
4.
If current draw exceeds specifications in either test position, repair or replace motor.

Motor terminals may be too small to make necessary test connections. If necessary use jumper wires with suitable connector sleeves between motor
and test equipment.
