On 1984-85 LTD/Marquis equipped with power door locks, if the rear door power locks become inoperative due to disengagement of the lock actuator
rod or plastic clip breakage, use the following procedure to replace the plastic clip with a new type two-piece metal clip assembly.
Rear Door Power Lock Retainer Clip Replacement:
1.
Remove the door trim panel and watershield.
2.
Remove the existing broken plastic retainer clip from the actuator rod and door latch.

Install a new two-piece metal clip assembly Part No. E1FZ-6121952-A, on the actuator rod; install the clip with rod onto door latch lever (Figure
2).
4.
Try the lock system to assure proper operation.
5.
Install watershield and trim panel.
