"VOICE ALERT" - MODULE REPLACEMENT WITH THE STANDARD WARNING CHIME MODULE

The Voice Alert System is designed to provide message warnings for "Key in Ignition", "Headlights On" and "Door Ajar". If, for some reason, the
customer does not want the voice warning messages, the voice alert module has been designed to be interchangeable with the standard chime module.
The dealer can readily replace the voice alert module with the warning chime module, thereby providing the chime signal for "Key in Ignition",
"Headlights On" and "Seat Belt Warning", as required by FMVSS; however, the "Door Ajar" warning will not be available. The visual lights will still be
operational for all functions including "Door Ajar".
See Section 33-87 of the Shop Manual for removal and installation procedure and location of the voice alert module.
Installation of the voice alert module to replace the chime module will result in the loss of the "Door Ajar" message.
