See Figs. 6 and 7 for Tempo & Topaz wiper switch continuity testing procedure.
1.
On models with instrument panel mounted switch, remove switch for testing.
2.
On models with steering column mounted switch, disconnect electrical connector to switch at body harness connector.
3.
Check continuity between all switch terminals in each switch position, using an ohmmeter or self-powered test lamp. An ohmmeter must be used
to check variable resistor on intermittent wiper systems.
4.
If switch continuity is not as specified in Figs. 8 through 15, switch is defective.
