The premium sound amplifier removal and installation instructions for 1984-86 Crown Victoria/Grand Marquis (except station wagons) have been
revised from the instructions indicated in Section 35-09 of the Shop Manual.
Removal

Refer to Figure 9.
1.
Lift and remove the rear seat cushion.
2.
Remove the two seat belt retaining bolts.
3.
Lift and remove the rear seat back cushion.
4.
Carefully remove the sound insulation material.
5.
Remove the two Phillips head attaching screws.
6.
Remove the spare tire.
7.
Remove the ground wire attaching screw.
