Bend flanged edge of rear frame spring seats on both left hand and right hand side of vehicle (see Figure 6). Adjustable wrench or vice grips are
adequate to bend spring seat material.

Do not bend spring seat flange beyond the straight line rear surfaces (see Figure 6).
WARNING:
DO NOT USE HEAT ON SPRING SEAT FLANGE BECAUSE OF CLOSE PROXIMITY OF THE FUEL TANK.
