(See Exhibit I). Remove the fuel charging assembly and spacer in accordance with the procedure described in the 1984 and 1985 Car Shop
Manuals (Volume D, Page 24-03-6).

(See Exhibit I). Install the new gasket (service part number E6PZ-9447-A) as shown.

Reinstall the fuel charging assembly and spacer in accordance with the procedure described in the 1984 and 1985 Car Shop Manuals (Volume D,
Page 24-03-6). Do not-perform the fifth step of that procedure at this time. Be sure to observe the attaching nuts tightening pattern and torque
specification (14 N-m; 10 ft.lbs.).

Back flush the engine cooling system in accordance with the procedure described in the 1984 and 1985 Car Shop Manual (Volume D; Page
27-01-7). Use an appropriate cooling system flush such as Ford Cooling System Fast Flush (part number D6AZ-19A503-A) or equivalent.
Observe all cautions and notes shown throughout Group 27 of the referenced shop manual.
6.
Back flush the heater core in accordance with the procedure described in the 1984 and 1985 Car Shop Manual (Volume D; Page 27-01-8).
