Compress ball joint with tool, then tap spindle, near upper stud, to loosen stud in spindle.

Remove ball joint press tool, then position a suitable jack under lower control arm.
6.
Remove upper control arm attaching bolts, then the upper control arm assembly.
7.
Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Torque ball joint attaching nut to 60---90 ft. lbs.
b. Torque upper control arm attaching bolts to 120---140 ft. lbs.
c. Check wheel alignment, refer to ``Wheel Alignment Section.''
