Parking Brake Control: Adjustments
Check parking brake cables when brakes are fully released. If cables are loose, adjust as follows:
1.
Make sure parking brake is released.
2.
Place transmission in neutral and raise the vehicle.
3.
Tighten the adjusting nut against the cable equalizer to cause rear brakes to drag.
4.
Then loosen the adjusting nut until the rear wheels are fully released. There should be no drag.
5.
Lower vehicle and check operation.
