Remove preformed hose at carburetor bowl vent connection. Cut hose 1/2" below the preformed elbow. Obtain connector (Part No.
E25Y-9J313-A) and install with rubber hose attaching carburetor and plastic connector attaching hose connected to bowl vent solenoid (Figure 6).

Use bundling strap (Part No. 95874-S) as required to secure hoses away from moving parts and exhaust manifold.

Verify that C.E.R. is not sticking by pressing down on the rod while holding the choke diaphragm rod back in the diaphragm housing. Gently
depress the C.E.R. adjusting nut, the C.E.R. should move up and down off its seat without any bind or interference. If interference is evident, the
upper body must be loosened and recentered. Refer to TSB 82-2-26 for procedure.
NOTE:
All vehicles with previous carburetor concerns should have their choke specifications verified. Setup procedures are shown in 8/82
Carburetor Flip Chart 0900-020 CPT 1982-3 and 2700/7200 Variable Venturi Handbook 2412-001. Also, proper indexing of the choke
cap should be verified.
