The one-piece vibration damper, mounted on the transmission extension housing, has been replaced with a two-piece design. When damper replacement
is required, the new two-piece damper must be used.

The original damper attaching bolts may be reused to attach the new two-piece damper. New bolts, however, are packaged with the new dampers. The
three attaching bolts thread into the left-hand damper (torque to 24-34 N-m; 18-25 ft.lbs.). See Figure 21.
