Engine Emission Control - 2.5L - Exhaust Manifold to Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) Valve Tube Mondeo 1997 (08/1996-09/2000)
Removal and Installation

Removal

  1. Remove the idle air control valve. For additional information, refer to Section  303-14 Electronic Engine Controls.

  1. Disconnect the exhaust gas recirculation valve vacuum pipe.

  1. Disconnect the exhaust gas recirculation pipe top union.

  1. Disconnect the rear heated exhaust gas oxygen sensor electrical connector.
    1. Detach the electrical connector.
    1. Disconnect the electrical connector.

  1. Detach the wiring harness.

  1. Disconnect the exhaust gas recirculation pipe lower union.
  1. Remove the pipe.

Installation
  1. Install the components in reverse order.
