Removal and Installation

  1. Replacement parts
    • Front and rear door outer skin

Removal

  1. General note
    • Necessary removal work: Exterior mirror, door trim, outside door handle and door glass.

  1. NOTE:
    NOTE:Before removing the door outer skin, heat the areas where it is glued to the inner reinforcement.
    Front door outer skin
    1. Cut locations.
    1. Grind out the clinched flanges.
    1. Heat the glued areas.

  1. NOTE:
    NOTE:Before removing the door outer skin, heat areas where it is glued to the inner reinforcement.
    Rear door outer skin
    1. Cut locations.
    1. Grind out the clinched flanges.
    1. Mill out the spot welds.
    1. Heat the glued areas.

Installation
  1. NOTE:
    NOTE:Apply PU glass adhesive to the join area of the door outer skin and the glued areas of the inner reinforcement
    Front door outer skin
    1. Continuous MIG weld seam.
    1. Clinch the door outer skin.

  1. NOTE:
    NOTE:Apply PU glass adhesive to the join area of the door outer skin and the glued areas of the inner reinforcement.
    Rear door outer skin
    1. Continuous MIG weld seam.
    1. Clinch the door outer skin.
    1. Resistance spot weld.
