Fuel Tank and Lines - Fuel Pump—2.0L Duratorq-Di/TDDi (Puma) Diesel/2.0L Duratorq-TDCi (Puma) Diesel/2.2L Duratorq-TDCi (Puma) Diesel Mondeo 2001 (10/2000-02/2007)
Removal and Installation

Removal

  1. Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to Section  414-01 Battery, Mounting and Cables.
  1. Remove the right-hand rear road wheel. For additional information, refer to Section  204-04 Wheels and Tires.

  1. Detach the air deflector.

  1. Remove the air deflector retaining screw and remove the air deflector.

  1. Disconnect the fuel pump to fuel filter fuel supply line, the fuel tank to fuel pump fuel supply line and the fuel pump to fuel tank fuel return line.

  1. Disconnect the fuel pump electrical connector.

  1. Remove the fuel pump.

Installation

  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
  1. Initialize the door window motors. For additional information, refer to Section  501-11 Glass, Frames and Mechanisms.
