Detach the positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) hose and the vacuum hose from the engine upper cover. | | | -
Remove the engine upper cover. | | | -
Remove the strut and spring assembly top mount brace cover. | | | -
Detach the strut and spring assembly top mount from the strut and spring assembly top mount brace. | | | -
Detach the strut and spring assembly top mount brace from the cowl. | | | -
Remove the strut and spring assembly top mount brace. | | | -
Detach the speed control cable from the throttle body. - Disconnect the speed control cable from the throttle linkage.
- Unclip the speed control cable.

Detach the speed control cable. | | | -
Remove the speed control actuator retaining bolt. | | | -
Detach the speed control actuator from the retaining bracket. | | | -
Disconnect the speed control actuator electrical connector. | | | -
Remove the speed control actuator. | | | -
Detach the speed control cable from the actuator. - Press and hold the locking clip.
- Rotate the cap counterclockwise.

Remove the speed control cable from the speed control actuator. - Gently release the cable locking spring.
- Push the cable end out of the speed control actuator pulley slot.
| Installation | | -
Install the speed control cable onto the speed control actuator. | | | -
Pull the speed control cable to make sure that there is no free play at the speed control actuator. | | | -
Install the speed control cable cap. - Install the speed control cable cap into the speed control actuator.
- Rotate the speed control cable cap clockwise 90 degrees.

Install the speed control actuator. | | | -
Connect the speed control actuator electrical connector. | | | -
Install the speed control actuator retaining bolt. | | | -
Attach the speed control cable. | | | -
Attach the speed control cable to the throttle body. - Attach the speed control cable.
- Connect the speed control cable to the throttle linkage.

Install the strut and spring assembly top mount brace. | | | -
Install the strut and spring assembly top mount brace retaining bolts. | | | -
Install the strut and spring assembly retaining nuts. | | | -
Install the strut and spring assembly top mount brace cover. | | | -
Install the engine upper cover. | | | -
Attach the positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) hose and the vacuum hose to the engine upper cover. | | |
