NOTE:Make sure that these components are installed to the noted removal position.

  1. NOTE:
    NOTE:Only tighten the bolts finger tight at this stage.
    Install the Special Tool(s): 303-1057
  1. Remove the Special Tool(s): 303-1057

  1. Torque:
    Stage 1:
    25 Nm
    Stage 2:
    60°

  1. General Equipment: Piston ring compressor
    Material: Engine Oil - 5W-30

  1. Material: Engine Oil - 5W-30

  1. Torque:
    Stage 1:
    20 Nm
    Stage 2:
    70°

  1. Torque: 16 Nm

  1. Torque: 12 Nm

  1. NOTE:
    NOTE:The component must be installed within 5 minutes of applying the sealant.
    Material: Silicone Sealant

  1. Torque: 14 Nm

  1. NOTE:
    NOTE:The component must be installed within 5 minutes of applying the sealant.
    Material: Silicone Sealant

  1. Torque: 16 Nm

  1. Special Tool(s): 303-255, 303-395

  1. Make sure to use the right thickness of the cylinder head gasket.
    Refer to: Specifications (303-01G Engine - 2.2L Duratorq-TDCi (DW) Diesel, Specifications).

  1. CAUTION:
    CAUTION:Make sure that new bolts are installed.
    Torque:
    Stage 1:
    60 Nm
    Stage 2:
    220°

  1. NOTE:
    NOTE:The component must be installed within 5 minutes of applying the sealant.
    Apply a 3 mm bead of sealant to the cylinder head.
    Material: Silicone Sealant

  1. Material: Engine Oil - 5W-30

  1. Torque:
    Stage 1:
    5 Nm
    Stage 2:
    10 Nm

  1. General Equipment: 2 mm punch

  1. Torque: 10 Nm

  1. Special Tool(s): 303-684

  1. Special Tool(s): 205-307

  1.  
    1. Torque: 7 Nm
    1. NOTE:
      NOTE:Make sure that a new component is installed.
    1. Torque: 56 Nm
    1. Torque:
      Stage 1:
      20 Nm
      Stage 2:
      60°
