Removal and Installation

Removal

NOTE:
NOTE:Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

  1. Assemble and install the special tools.

  1. Torque: 80 Nm

  1. Loosen the coolant pump pulley bolts.
    Torque: 23 Nm
  1. Drain the cooling system.
    Refer to: Cooling System Draining, Filling and Bleeding (303-03, General Procedures).
  1. Remove the accessory drive belt.
    Refer to: Accessory Drive Belt (303-05, Removal and Installation).
  1. Lower the vehicle.

  1. Torque:
    Engine front mount bracket bolts 28 Nm
    Timing belt cover bolts 7 Nm

  1. Fabricate a timing belt shield.
    General Equipment: Laminated card

  1. Protect the timing belt.
    General Equipment: Laminated card
    Torque: 10 Nm

  1.  
    1. Torque: 23 Nm
    1. Torque: 10 Nm

Installation

  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
  1. Bleed the cooling system.
    Refer to: Cooling System Draining, Filling and Bleeding (303-03, General Procedures).
