Apply a 1/4 inch bead of Weatherstrip Adhesive, COAZ-19552-A (or equivalent), in the hatch weatherstrip channel at the "A" and "B" pillars. The
head should begin at the hatch striker and extend into the channel for 6-8 inches.
NOTE:
Be sure area between seal retainer and body sheet metal cutoff is sealed with Butyl.
Do not apply sealant along the entire length of the weatherstrip channel.

Install the weatherstrip in the channels on both sides of the hatch.
A large "bow" at the T-bar is normal and will be corrected in the next step.
NOTE:
As the weatherstrip is started into the channel, slightly pull it to form an angle with the weatherstrip retainer. This will provide an even
butt joint when the hatch is in place.
