This article is being published to provide complete updated service procedures for the T-roof.
INTRODUCTION
Before attempting any repairs, review this TSB to familiarize yourself with the procedures, components and terminology.
This TSB is divided into two repair sections. The first section outlines weatherstrip replacement. The second section contains general repairs (and
diagnosis) to service a water leak.
Before attempting to repair a water leak, check all previous repair attempts - remove any dum-dum packed into joints, excessive sealants, shims, etc. Try
to return the vehicle to its original manufactured condition and then proceed.
Do not immediately condemn the T-roof as a water leak source. Conduct the water test with an open mind and an eye toward other possible leak areas.
Remember, the weatherstrips are intended to make the vehicle rain tight. Some vehicles may experience small leaks when they are run through a car
wash using high pressure spray equipment. These leaks may run on the inside of the door glass but not into the passenger compartment.
If possible, get a detailed description of the water leak from the vehicle owner.

Hatch Handling
A stowage bag is supplied for each hatch. Whenever the hatch is removed place it in the stowage bag.
Do not leave the hatches on work benches, on the hood, rear deck or other places where breakage could occur. The hatches should be placed in the
luggage compartment inside the stowage bag.

Never carry the hatch by the latch handle or any part of that assembly. Carry only by the glass.
