Crankshaft Timing Gear Removal
30. Remove the camshaft sprocket, crankshaft sprocket and the timing chain.
If the crankshaft sprocket is difficult to remove, pry the sprocket off the shaft using a pair of large screwdrivers positioned on both sides of the
sprocket.
NOTE: The front cover contains the oil pump and intermediate shaft. If a new front cover is to be installed, remove the water pump, oil pump, oil filter
adapter, and intermediate shaft from the old front cover.
