If the door courtesy light switch is not protected by the door seal from water run off, the water leakage into the door switch area can cause the switch to
become corroded or in cold weather the switch plunger can become frozen. In both cases, the switch will not function properly when the door is opened
or closed. This condition affects the courtesy lights and warning chime/buzzer.
