Repeat Steps 2 through 11 on the passenger side, if required, with part number (E5ZZ-6111248-B).
REPAIR PROCEDURE "B" (Use of safety stands is recommended)
1.
Refer to the Parts List for Procedure "B" and obtain all necessary parts. (See Page 17)
2.
Remove driver's seat and track assembly. See Car Shop Manual, Section 41-01 for procedure.
3.
Remove the driver's side seat belt, carpet, floor sound deadener, rear seat cushion and any floor wiring in the area of the seat track attachments.
4.
If any cracks are noted at the front track attachments, 1/8 inch holes should be drilled at the end of each crack and the crack should be mig-welded.
District Office approval is required prior to performing this step.
WARNING:
THE FUEL TANK AND LINES MUST BE REMOVED AND PLUGGED PRIOR TO WELDING TO AVOID PERSONAL
INJURY OR VEHICLE DAMAGE.
5.
Apply 3M Joint and Seam Sealer (051135-08648) to all cracks prior to top side reinforcement installation.
