CALIBRATIONS: All with 5.0L H.O. and T-50D Transmission
If the vacuum harness connector is not completely attached to the PVS valve it can cause the heat control valve to rattle because of insufficient vacuum.
The rattle during engine idle is loudest during hot engine operation.
To service the rattle, the following procedure is recommended:
1.
Check to be sure noise is from exhaust heat control valve.
2.
Check vacuum harness connector at PVS valve. (Valve is located in the rear of the intake manifold assembly - L.H. side). If connector is not
attached to all three ports on the PVS valve or if connector is not attached securely, position connector on valve properly and be sure connector is
"bottomed out" on all three ports of the PVS valve.
