Polycast Wheels - Center Cap Loose/Falls Off

WHEELS - POLYCAST - CENTER CAP LOOSE/FALLS OFF

FORD 1984-85 LTD, THUNDERBIRD; 1985 MUSTANG

LINCOLN-MERCURY 1984-85 MARQUIS, COUGAR; 1985 CAPRI

Loose or missing center wheel caps on polycast wheels can be serviced by installing retaining clips (kit part number E5DZ-1K013-A) on the center cap.

Install the clips per the following procedure:

Attach three (3) retaining clips to the center cap by pressing a clip over each of the evenly spaced anti-rotation tabs on the outside of the cap lip.
See Figure 12.

To ensure good cap retention, install the cap so the clips are in line with the wheel nubbins.  See figure 13.  If clips should come off during removal of
the wheel cap, they can be reinstalled as described above.
