Connect the CBM to the cooling fan motor, then connect the vehicle harness to the CBM. Secure the CBM to the cooling fan shroud with one (1)
of the supplied tie straps. See Figure 8.

Take up the slack in the cooling fan shroud wire harness on the right side of the coolant recovery reservoir by gently pulling the harness through
the reservoir bracket. Then fold the wire harness over on itself and secure it with the other supplied tie strap as shown. See Figure 9.
4.
If equipped, position the radiator upper sight shield onto the vehicle and install the fasteners.
5.
Connect the battery negative cable and set radio stations.
6.
Check cooling fan operation.
COOLING FAN AND SHROUD ASSEMBLY REPLACEMENT
Taurus/Sable 3.0L and 3.8L
NOTE:
If equipped, do not remove the jumper harness installed as part of Safety Recall 97S66 or 95S22. See Figure 3 or 5.

Record radio preset stations, then disconnect the battery negative cable.
2.
Remove the constant control relay module (CCRM) from the upper radiator support and position it out of the way.
3.
Disconnect and remove the front airbag impact sensor from the vehicle.
