Cigarette Lighter: Service and Repair
Removal and Installation
1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove console panel.
3. Disconnect ash receptacle lamp wiring and socket.
4. Press sides of interior lamp and remove interior lamp from cigar lighter socket and retainer.
5. Remove cigar lighter knob and element.
6. Remove cigar lighter internal socket from outside sleeve by gripping slots with snap ring pliers and turning.
7. To install, reverse Removal procedure and test the cigar lighter knob and element for proper operation.
