Removal and Installation
NOTICE: To prevent system failure, it is necessary to carry out the Occupant Classification Sensor (OCS) system reset when a front passenger
seat cushion is disassembled, a new trim cover is installed or an OCS system service kit is installed. A scan tool is used to carry out the OCS
system reset.
NOTE: The air bag warning indicator illuminates when the correct Restraints Control Module (RCM) fuse is removed and the ignition switch is ON.
NOTE: The Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) must be fully operational and free of faults before releasing the vehicle to the customer.
NOTE: Note all wire harness routing for correct installation.
All seats
1. Remove the front seat. For additional information, refer to Seat - Front See: Service and Repair/Front Seats/Seat - Front.
2. Remove the clip and recline handle.
Driver seat
3. If equipped, remove the manual height adjust handle.

Remove the manual height adjust handle center cover.

Remove the 2 screws and manual height adjust handle.
All seats
4. Remove the screw at the rear of the cushion side shield. Pull out on the side of the cushion side shield, release the retaining clips and pin-type
retainer and remove the side shield.
5. Separate the side air bag module electrical connector and wire harness pin-type retainers from the manual seat track bracket.
6. Release all cushion trim cover-to-cushion frame retainers.
7. Disconnect the safety belt buckle switch and separate the pin-type retainers from the seat track.
8. Separate the main seat electrical connector from the manual seat track.
Driver seat
9. Disconnect the seat position sensor and separate the pin-type retainer.
All seats
10. Remove the 4 nuts and manual seat track.

Lift the cushion foam pad to access the manual seat track nuts.
-
To install, tighten to 36 Nm (27 lb-ft).
11. Remove the bolt and safety belt buckle.
