ISSUE:
The Front End Accessory Drive (FEAD) belt may become broken or frayed and/or detach from (or roll off of) the engine. This may be caused by
deceleration of the engine.
ACTION:
Replace the water pump pulley with a new flanged-type water pump pulley and tensioner. The flanged pulley and tensioner should reduce the possibility
of belt damage and belt roll-off. Refer to the following Service Procedure for replacement details.
SERVICE PROCEDURE
1.
Remove FEAD belt and discard.
