Removal and Installation

Front

Front Disc Brakes Components

REMOVAL

1. Raise and support vehicle. 
2. Remove wheel and tire assembly from rotor mounting face. Use care to avoid damage to or interference with wheel cylinder bleeder screw during

removal.

3. Mark disc brake caliper assembly to make sure it is installed on correct side during installation.
4. Remove hollow retaining bolt that connects brake hose to the disc brake caliper.

5. Remove hose assembly from disc brake caliper and plug brake hose.
6. Remove clip, washer and disc brake caliper locating pin.
7. Remove front disc brake caliper from front disc brake rotor and front disc brake caliper anchor plate.
8. Clean any residue from anchor plate and brake shoe contact surfaces.
