FORD: 
1996-97 MUSTANG

ISSUE: 
The Front End Accessory Drive (FEAD) belt may become broken or frayed and/or the belt may come off of the engine. This may be caused by
deceleration of the engine.

ACTION: 
Replace the water pump pulley with a new flanged-type Water Pump Pulley (F6ZZ-8509-AA) and Tensioner (F7AZ-6B209-OB). The flanged pulley and
tensioner should reduce the possibility of belt damage and belt roll-off. Refer to the appropriate year Mustang Service Manual for replacement details.
