Keyless Entry Module: Description and Operation
Module, Keyless Entry Remote

The remote keyless entry module is located behind the LH luggage compartment trim panel.

It contains a radio receiver that receives a signal from the keyless entry remote transmitter through the remote keyless entry module antenna.

It sends the appropriate command to the power door locks, the horn relay, the park lamps, and the anti-theft warning system if equipped.

The remote keyless entry module is equipped with battery backup which holds the programmed code in memory when the vehicle battery is
disconnected.
